The Montclair YWCA for Black Women and Girls Unveiling Ceremony

Join the Montclair History Center and New Jersey Historical Commission on April 18th at 11 am for the dedication and unveiling of a New Jersey Black Heritage Trail marker honoring the Montclair YWCA for Black women and girls.

Founded in 1912, the Montclair YWCA was a cornerstone of the community, providing leadership development, educational opportunities, recreation, and safe housing for generations of women in Montclair.

Celebrate and uplift the enduring legacy of Montclair’s YWCA with us as we commemorate this important chapter in our shared history.
