  • Montclair History Center 108 Orange Road Montclair, NJ, 07042 United States (map)

The Joy of Herbs: Herbs are the tastiest, easiest, healthiest, and most cost-effective edible to grow! In this workshop you will learn how to grow and use well-known herbs such as basil, sage, and rosemary, and discover unusual herbs such as lovage, salad burnet, and lemon verbena. In addition, we will discuss some native plants that are also considered herbs, such as Purple Coneflower. All of these herbs will be offered for sale at the Herb Sale.

In this History at Home, Montclair resident will Deb Ellis will highlight a few of the many plants that will be available at our May Herb Sale. This week’s presenter is an environmental activist who is passionate about teaching how to use native plants to promote biodiversity and heal the Earth.
