“NJ Black Historic Sites and Crossroads,” Presented by the Sankofa Collaborative

Join the Sankofa Collaborative in its mission to “build the capacity of individuals, groups, and organizations to learn about, present, and discuss the complex and difficult issues in the history and current experiences of African American citizens of New Jersey.” Hosted at the Grounds for Sculpture, this educational workshop will feature sessions about the many historic Black cemeteries, churches, and monuments located around the state. Montclair History Center will have an information table at the session diving into how we share the stories of the YWCA and Black boarders that lived, worked, and played in our historic house museum.

$45.00 per person – registration includes breakfast, lunch, a snack and admission to the Grounds For Sculpture exhibits “Roberto Lugo: The Village Potter” and “Fragile Earth.“ CLICK HERE for more information and to register.
