Learn about the early history of Montclair State University on a 40-minute walking tour of the south end of campus. The tour will include historic photographs of the oldest campus buildings and examples of memorabilia. We will discuss student life and interactions with the surrounding Montclair community. Archivist, Paul Martinez, will lead the tour. We will meet in front of the Alexander Kasser Theater at 6 pm. Weather permitting – the tour will be rescheduled in the event of rain. The tour is approximately half a mile long. Most of the route is accessible. There is an approximately 260-foot section which is partially-accessible due to a steep grade. Parking is available in the Red Hawk Parking Garage on College Avenue, right next to the Kasser Theater. This event is free and offered in partnership with the Montclair History Center.
